Lodi Stake will be taking the lead on Public Affairs for the three participating stakes in the upcoming dance festival "A Time to Dance" scheduled for Saturday, June 11 at the Stockton Arena.PA High Council rep Steve Demetras is doing the brunt of the work due to Ann Kerr being heavily involved in video for the festival. He wrote some guidelines for each stake to follow and will be handling invitations to community leaders in Lodi to attend the event.
Media Director Adelle Barrette has prepared a fact sheet with information and quotes that will be helpful to Manteca and Stockton Stakes while communicating with print media. Adelle will also be in contact with Gary Zavoral for TV coverage from Sacramento stations.
Ann Kerr will oversee graphic design for printed products and is working with Dani Tvetan (Bishop Shields' daughter) who will be the designer.
A blog for the dance festival has been created by Kathy Marshall and approved by officials at Church headquarters. It can be found at http://timetodancefestival.blogspot.com. Click here for a direct link. It will contain all information relating to the festival including dance instructions, video demonstrations, practice schedules, costume guidance, etc. Youth and their parents should reference the blog for answers to questions about the festival.
When you go to the blog, check out "Jukebox Saturday Night" which is a motivational video made by Ann Kerr and is about Cindy Brink, and how being in a dance festival before she was a member of the Church led her to eventually marry her husband, Bishop Cory Brink.
