With 33 booths (up from 24 last year) Dave Gillingwater reported that the fair "met everyone's needs." He estimates that about half of those attending were from the community. Flu shots were a last minute feature of the fair. Shelba Durston reported that three people who had their blood pressure taken, had high enough numbers to be referred to a hospital. 150 children had identification kits made, and STARS ran out of kits or there could have been more. Dave said there were less attendees than last year, but the fair was better.Stake president Jim Cook and his wife Sandy enjoyed the latest in gardening techniques.

We had three pre-fair stories in the paper, and one post-fair photo with a caption. Dave Gillingwater is scheduled to have a feature in the Sentinel next week about emergency preparedness. I sold Panorama editor Pam Bauserman on the idea, but due to Dave's hectic schedule, the interview could not take place before the fair.
