I have to add another post about the Preparedness Fair because our story just appeared in the Stockton Record today. They have a new feature called "My Record" in which they invite people to submit interesting stories. I thought it was worth a try, so I submitted the story and a picture. The editor called me Monday with a couple of questions and said it would be in the paper the next day.
Indeed, they had a "teaser" on the front of the Lens section. But someone in the layout room didn't realize that was there and postponed the story for a larger-than-usual number of obits.
Finally today it was in the paper. Any individual or group can send in a story and I encourage you to do so when you have a good picture of a worthwhile activity. "Good News" is so needed.
