For the first time we sent, and received, thank-you cards following MHH. Earl McOmber received a card with a nice note from Andi Kutlik of the Lodi Unified School District thanking us for our service at both Lodi and Tokay High Schools. She also sent a disk with digital pictures of the Lodi High project, as well as prints of the photos.
Ranse Gale wanted to send some thank-you cards to the librarian and two city officials who were instrumental in helping arrange the various projects. We used some of our many pictures to design some fun cards.
Photographers
It's important to record an event such as this with photos and video. Here is a collage of our "professional" photographers this year. Beginning in the upper left and going clockwise: Sarah Critchfield, Aaron Van Nortwick, Ann Kerr, Mike McDermed, Steve Demetras, Patricia Haggard, Heather McCauley, and Adelle Barrette. Not pictured are Terri Saldate and Paul Warren.
Lodi City Proclamation
Most cities make a proclamation that MHH will be held on a certain date. We are having a thank-you proclamation on Wednesday, June 1 at 7 pm in the city council meeting room. Some members from the stake presidency will be there as well as high council reps, public affairs, and perhaps others. Anyone is welcome to come. The city plans to thank us for our efforts and has invited some responses. I will be there video recording and will post it on the blog. This was arranged by Ranse Gale through city communications specialist Jeff Hood.
FYI the city council meetings are held in the Carnegie Forum at 305 W. Pine in Lodi. It will also be televised live on Comcast SJTV Channel 26 and can also be seen live on the Internet with a high speed connection.
MHH Video
I made one more video because Brother Gale had such a wonderful message to share. City officials will get a YouTube link so they can watch it, and we will use it to promote the event next year, and who knows? Maybe other ways too. If any of you want to use a copy I can make you a DVD, or give you the file ready for mobile device download. Karen Hansen will also be posting it on Facebook for us on the California MHH page. The idea is to share it as much as we can.
*Please note that this video was made especially to feature Lodi projects, and does not include the entire stake.
