Helping Hands Story "FINALLY" in News-Sentinel

We worked hard the afternoon of April 30, to get all the pictures together, make choices, get people identified, names spelled correctly, etc. Adelle had made arrangements with the paper for some good coverage on Monday in the main section of the paper. Then we were hosed by the killing of terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden. As Ross Farrow told me on the phone the next day, the paper was "a zoo" Sunday afternoon, and of course the whole paper was devoted to the Bin Laden event.
A week went by, and still no story for MHH. Emails and calls went back and forth. News-Sentinel editor Rich Hanner thought the story should go on the Panorama page in its weekly "Happenings" feature. It didn't happen. Panorama editor Pam Bauserman had too many other events ahead of us. She sent it back to Ross, and finally on Saturday, May 21 it appeared on the religion page. Not a "story" really, but two captioned pictures. One of the pictures is from a Galt project. Sentinel editors like to have Galt covered in the newspaper, so we always make sure to give them some Galt pictures and quotes.
