Last Wednesday I got a call Arthur Jue, a man in San Jose who was making a Mormon Helping Hands video featuring Steve Young and he needed some MHH pictures from last year. He saw some of my pictures on the Californa MHH Facebook page and did some sleuthing to get my number. (It only took him three calls to finally reach someone in Lodi who gave him my phone number!)
I have lots of pictures and asked him when he needed them. He needed them "yesterday" and they had to have signed photographer releases. Because I had submitted pictures last year to "Cultural Hall," a Sacramento based Public Affairs website, I already had photo releases in my computer. He was so happy!
Two days later the video was up. It will be going to a large number of public access TV stations for showing during the next two weeks, and he has commitments from many of them to show it multiple times. He wrote me this morning saying "We estimate that between YouTube, Facebook, and the MHH Website, we had over 1000 hits (views) in the first day." He and the California PA office are encouraging all of us to share the video on our blogs and Facebook page, or any way we can. We want to flood the state and the nation with a call to serve. Here is the video from YouTube. It is also posted on the state MHH website and the California MHH Facebook page. The last eleven pictures are all from Lodi MHH 2010.
