Major Coverage for "The Trek"

After two years of planning, the youth in the stake, along with an adult support team, including "Ma's and Pa's," donned pioneer clothes and pushed handcarts for three days over the Mormon Emigrant Trail in the Sierras.
The trek was inspired by President Cook and directed by High Councilman Neil Anderson.
Because so many youth were involved, we prepared press releases for six different newspapers. This involved interviewing over 20 participants, and searching through thousands of pictures to find just the right ones for each paper. All of the papers did not run the story, but we had excellent exposure in the ones that did. Here are some examples.
Because the Church is emphasizing the use of the Internet as a means of spreading the gospel to others, Ann began working on a video of the trek before it even began: formulating a concept, arranging for video and pictures. You can watch the video below, but you are encouraged to view it on YouTube and share it through email, a blog, Facebook, and/or other social websites.
