Above is a collage of pictures from the fair at Hutchins Street Square Saturday, September 10. Kathy Angel and I were photographers. Steve Demetras did the video. The program included bagpipes, National Guard, firemen, music, talks, and lots of city dignitaries.
LDS Scout Dallas Dorman from Galt gave a beautiful talk about his father serving several tours of duty in Iraq. He ended by saying that if there was one thing he learned from his dad it was "my love of country. My chest swells every time I see the American flag." It was an excellent talk.

Scott Crosier, Jake Lethbridge, Lynnette Lethbridge and Ayana Smith, all LDS members from Galt sang the beautiful patriotic song, "My Country 'Tis of Thee."
Dave Gillingwater, chairman of the Preparedness Fair, chats with interim Lodi Fire Chief Dan Haverty. High Councilman Dan Sroufe was instrumental in getting cooperation with the city in this joint endeavor. This is something we in public affairs have been trying to accomplish for a long time, and finally it is happening. Thanks to Dan!

President Tom Reed and President Joseph Anderson were there greeting and talking to people.

The Public Affairs display: hostess Cherie Reed, hostess and Stake RS President Andrea Gessell, Ann Kerr and Kathy Marshall.
Overall, the fair was great, but all of us agreed that not enough people came to enjoy and learn.
