Ever wanted to know more about how to preserve priceless family memories? Technology offers a wealth of exciting possibilities from digital scrapbooking, to blog journaling, to Internet books to videos of special events and activities. We are offering three classes (called Digital Keepsakes) in October to the public, and for the first time are inviting members to join us. One of our goals this year is to get better acquainted with our FOOFs (Friends of other Faiths) in the community. So find a FOOF, bring him or her to our presentations, and see a wonderful digital world unfold before your eyes on the big screen in the Ham Lane building cultural hall. Here is the schedule (7-8:30pm):
· Thursday, October 2: Digital Keepsakes—using today’s technology to capture precious memories. This will include scrapbooking, Internet books, blogs, and video.
· Thursday, October 16: Top 10 Tech Tips—a practical follow-up to the first presentation. You will learn how to take better pictures with a digital camera, how to scan, make a book from a blog, the best ways to print, cool things to do with type, and where to buy digital supplies. In addition there will be a brief demonstration of Photoshop Elements 7.
